I set up my jeans on a clothing rack with about nine pairs of my Notice Me Jeans.People walk in from the streets of Queen Street West into the store to shop for gifts.Today is one time event to showcase my butt-lifting jeans from Notice Me Jeans.Seven of the jeans are dark blue, one of the jeans color is classic blue and the other one is light blue. Today is a very cold day, and people are popping in to warm off their butts.

This is final week of Christmas shopping before the holidays begins. I worked on a few projects in between sales. It was a great setting up at store. One of my customers, passed by to say hi. It was nice to see a familiar face.

My Notice Me Jeans Butt Spoke in a Public Washroom

I always make sure that I am wearing my Notice Me Jeans products all the time before heading out the door.  On a Sunday, we decided to go out for lunch to a restaurant. 

Just before meal time, I went to use the ladies washroom to clean my hands.

While washing my hands, a lady walks in to wash her hands as well.

It was only the two of us in there.  She passes by my butt and taps my butt with two of her fingers.

I could not believe it.  This was my time to share the good news of my butt-lifting jeans.

There was enough room for her to walk around without bumping into me.  I told her if she noticed that she tapped my butt.  She advised how sorry she was.  

I told her not to worry because I understand that my butt is out there.

For the past few days, I have been doing nothing but resting.
I would say for last three days. I am listening to myself since I went out for fresh air.

Notice Me Jeans and Queen Street West Toronto

Walking in and out of Queen Street West Stores.

Notice Me Jeans is looking for a retail spot to sell butt-lifting jeans.

Presenting myself to the stores owners and talking about the product and trying to build a relationship at the same time.   

I knew that doing something for the first time was hard, I have been practicing with a few stores that I knew would not work out for the both of us.

This way, I can build confidence.

I know, I will be successful.  I am looking forward to sharing it with someone else.

I have web presences and sometimes it is not enough. Looking forward to a retail spot.

I walk around with my a book full my butt-lifting jeans designs and I wear a pair of the butt-lifting jeans to show the store owners and employees. If they are interested in my product then I will return back with a jean style of their choice and with the right size for them to feel and try on the product. 

A lot of people are loving the designs and most people never heard of butt-lifting jeans.

Queen Street West is full of boutique stores.

LETTING THINGS GO..IS THE HARDEST THING TO DO ~ NOTICE ME JEANS

Writing from my Microsoft word on my mac book pro is the way, I will write my drafts. Then I will paste into my blogs and my journals. The hardest challenge is working with the font I selected, “chalkboard”.

The real reason why I started blogging was because I have hard time blogging. What I mean is that my writings skills were never to standards with the Canadian education system. Because of my disability at school, it was hard to make friends. The boys of the school were in only ones that wanted to talk to me. They didn’t mind hanging out with me. It felt safe with my boy friends. It was the teachers fault, why I played alone on the schoolyard, I thought to myself.

At times, I would hope the school bell would not ring or at times I would want it to ring so I can breathe some fresh air and get away from it all.

I was lucky to have live so close to my elementary school. I was only about 1 min away and able to ran home fast enough for lunch and was able to wait last minute to ran back to school in time for class.

It doesn’t matter what else happened to me at that time. I am taking this blog as my greatest challenge. You must read this blog to keeping understanding what I go through, understand why things happen. I won’t be able to tell you why it does, you must draw your own conclusions. Now, you should understand why letting go is so hard and an amazing opportunity to prove yourself wrong and find peace within you. I think of it as competition in a sports game. Image your on the same team as the girls in your class that don’t play with you at reassess time. It is like you are competing with yourself, always proving that you can do whatever you want only in gym class or after school activities. The gym class was the only world to show the classmates that I have strength mentally to be able to try hard enough to score any points and that it should mean something. I might of showed that I didn't care about school or my homework... I did care. Just that no-one cared enough to pay attention to me.

I owe everything that has happened to me to everyone who knows me. I say, “Thank you” for making learn from my mistakes. Without you, there was no room for improvements. Because of you I am a better person.

Letting go is one of biggest challenge.

I was born in Toronto and lived here all my life.

My parents came from Colombia, Medellin to live here and have children and

help the rest of the family to come here to have a better life.

I learned English as a second language.

It was very hard to do anything on my own.

I almost gave up tonight from writing this entry.

I was in the mood for writing. I listened to myself and I know I had to do this.

I took this opportunity as letting go of I can't write anything interesting. I will repeat writing is hard for me.

I will live my life hopefully of not believing I can’t write. Instead I know I can do this.

Changing my mind set to I know I can do this.... I know I can.... I will believe I know I won’t ignore the problem no matter how long it takes I won't give up.

Taking my time and typing slow and reading my thoughts out loud in my mind is a very good practice. I taught myself to do everything on my own. Image a life without teachers or friends and still have a good heart to never wanting to harm anyone and always lending a helping hand.

Letting go is a very interesting topic for me. I am thinking at this moment, right now as I paused for a second, I might be creating a new blog and calling it “Me and the world of Notice Me Jeans”. Owing my own business of online retail selling butt-lifting jeans is very hard. Again alone and trying my best to make it. People around me are very negative. Only a few selected ones are the only ones, I pay attention to. Everyone else including some family members or old friends don’t have my undivided attention. They are no longer part me and my world of Notice Me Jeans in my business world. Surround yourself with positive energy and take it one step at a time to create positive affect in your life.

About two days ago, my supplier contacted me by phone to make sure we are still building a business relationship. I missed his call and so I called me back today.  They are getting ready to close down the manufacture of butt-lifting jeans for the christmas holidays. Sounds early to me.

Meeting with My business advisor

I am part of a government program that helps individuals launch their business only if it is viable.
I meet with my business advisor today. We meet once a month to talk about my monthly activities and advise her all about Notice Me Jeans and the butt-lifting jeans business.
I advised her, all I have is positive feedback from everyone who encounters the butt-lifting jeans and experience their new enhanced butt.

I feel that I am so ahead of my business advisor and wonder why she is wasting my time with unrealistic advise. I found out about a week ago that, the government has ended the program.
I feel lucky to be part of the program.

Filled With Excitment

A very positive start, for a positive day with a positive feedback.
I sang a song out loud with no worries in the world.
It did not matter who was listening or watching me sing.
Sang, "I had the whole wide world in my hands, I have the whole wide world... in my hands". I kept on repeating those words.

I had Doctor's appointment at 12pm.
I love going to her office. I only have seen her like three times.
Each time with each visit, I feel calmer. I love being around her.
I love everything about her, her positive vibe and her natural wooden furniture.

She calls my name, I walked into her office.
I was wearing of my butt-lifting Notice Me Jeans, as always, of course.
And that's when she fell in love with them again.

She wastes no time to say, I want your jeans and how can I get a pair.
I was like, okay forget about me I am fine. Besides I have no allergy reaction anyways in the past month. Mind over power. Yup, mind over power. Which is very true.
We were so excited to see each other and we kept going back and froth about my product and my health. We were like kids again.
I showed her my butt-lifting jeans collection on facebook and she fell in love with almost all of the Notice Me Jeans products.
She placed an order of five jeans.

This Saturday, I have an business appointment with her at her office.
That is so cool and she is so cool. Meeting her on her day off, that's how much she loves the butt-lifting jeans collection. I got her personal email and her cell phone.

Notice Me Jeans at the Metro Convention Centre

Woke up early to attend a small business all day seminar at The Metro Convention Centre.

Arrived late at the registration booth. Got checked in and  I was handed a swag bag with a schedule and other goodies of advertisement.

In between seminars, I saw a lot of familiar faces.   One face that was never forgotten, was one of my College tutors at Seneca.  He had the most beautiful blue eyes, I ever seen. When I saw him again, I knew it was him.  There always something special about those blue eyes. 

I knew, I would seen him again someday and never thought it would be at a small business seminar.  Me (Shirley).. and the whole education system knew my written skills needed a lot of attention. I went to college for Travel and Tourism.  Now, I am currently working for myself. Started an online butt-lifting jeans business, called Notice Me Jeans.

I basicly saw three worlds passing me by all in the same spot.  If you think about, well to me is normal to have these experience for the reader is sort weird and cool.  Listen to the rest of the story.

Alright, so my ex-tutor and I spent half a day together and had enough time to grab lunch before our next session.  After lunch, we headed our separate  ways.  I went one seminar and he went to another one.  Each session was about an hour long.  Just before the hour passes by, I saw another familiar face in the hallway.  This was also very special and familiar face.  It was a powerful experience.  My confidence started build a little more stronger at this point.  We went to the same elementary school.  Again other education system that was a waste of tax money and the teacher were mean.  

Me (Shirley) standing in front of another entrepreneurial.  Both of us were very proud of one another.  He always had the brains in the class.  He walked around with a dictionary and carried with him all the time.  Until this day, I am not sure why he did. 

A) was it because he was very smart and good student

B) he was always got in trouble so he got dentation was writing out pages each after school from the dictionary.

I know "A" was the real answer, I hope. (smile).  At the very end of all, before the end of the day, I headed to the trade show booth.  I saw a other familiar face.   It was also very special one. I only realized this is a very interesting story when I started to write it and it makes a lot of sense.  The other guy at the booth, use to work on the same floor as me.  I was laid off from that company.  That was my last paying job.  Working for my past job made me realized it was time for this Latin Canadian lady make to it on her own.

I saw other people I knew but it was these three faces that made my day.

Paypal offers a new virtual service for any credit card transactions that allows business to charge credit cards from anywhere as long as we have access to the internet. How cool is that.

My favorite topic was paypal. I learned a lot about their services.

Please note, I priced about 4 bins of clothing and one bin of butt-lifting jeans.


Priced and labeled my discounted jeans and my other Colombian clothing items for the warehouse sale for October 18, 2009.

Working from the garage in the cold, with a portable heater. Heater was not powerful enough.
I took me almost 6 hours to label all the clothing. Six hours involved, writing out each price tag, sorting the clothing, folding the clothes, sorting the bins and tiding up the garage. Without music, time flew by so fast. So funny, I had my lap top and totally forgot about playing music in the background. I was so happy to know that I was pricing for the first time and working away for my first warehouse that nothing else mattered.

Unbelievable, that is a lot of time involved.
I kept thinking about each item....how much would someone pay of this and how much it cost me so that means, I can sell it at this price. Oh boy, time flew by so fast.
I totally forgot to add my time in the price of each clothing item...
It is very important when it comes to pricing. My time and effort cost money.
Need to remember to pay myself.

Hanging Labels for My Butt-lifting Jeans

Today, was a pretty productive day.

I bought a box of hanging labels to place on my jeans and other clothing items for the warehouse sale on October 18, 2009.

At the store, where I bought the labels, I couldn't decide if I wanted to buy a blue boarder that wraps around the hanging labels to match my logo or a bigger size label that is plain black and white.

I thought about it for the next few minutes as an employee looked at me and said out loud.

"It's only LABELS". Hum, only labels. I looked at him and thought in silence "only labels?"

To me it was more then that. It was something new something special. It was a new experience.

Labels represented, getting closer to my goals, presentation and quality.

I wanted my customers to experience the best clothing for the best price in a representable way. Appearance is very important to me and to my business.

I never had to make a decision about labels and it was a big thing for me.

I get excited when it comes to something new for my business.

No one should take that away from me.

I didn't waste anytime on tackling the clothing items stored in the plastic bins.

While I was in Colombia in July 2009. I met a potential supplier. I bought clothes from the store and I brought back to Toronto to sell. The clothing is very similar to well known brands such as Abercombie, Hollister American Eagle, Pink from Victoria's Secret.

The supplier, Carolina and I will be working very close. Spoke to her today and she is not feeling well. Tomorrow I have to call her up again to follow on the status of starting a new business relationship with her.
